About the Position:Responsible for efficient and timely preparation of take-offs and/or quotations for the National Account, Commercial, or Cold Storage sales teams.Responsibilities:Prepare accurate take-offs from customer provided architectural/engineering drawings.Develop pricing for projects based on the developed takeoffs using AWIP published pricing.Follow published pricing SOP guidelines established by AWIP.Enter quotations as necessary within AWIP business systems including Quickbooks, Salesforce or SAP.Understand AWIP product capabilities and limitations and apply products as appropriate when developing quotations.Be a subject matter expert on all products that AWIP manufactures and distributes.Ensure excellence and professionalism in customer and team member interactions.Help to maintain existing customer relationships through customer service efforts; and phone and e-mail conversations.Read construction blue prints, drawings, plans and specifications.This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Hours of work may need to be adjusted to accommodate customer requirements and time zone differences.Work Environment:This position operates from a professional office environment or remote environmentMeetings with customers or team members are not common on a daily basis, but can take place at conferences, in offices, on construction jobsites and in public environments such as coffee shops and restaurants.Electronic communication will take place on a company provided laptop via e-mail and other internet forms of communication. Primary phone contact will be made by on company office phone or mobile phone.Basic Qualifications:Education: College degree or some college experience preferable.5 years' experience in estimating within construction or architectural products.Experience in reading construction drawings and specifications. Demonstrated aptitude will be considered in lieu of [please apply online] proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.Strong math skills are a plus. AWIP estimators use basic math and geometry on a regular basis.Additional Qualifications:Must possess credit worthiness and a major credit card with a sufficient limit to maintain some travel expenses until reimbursed by the company.Physical Requirements:Visual acuity and ability to discern color and texture.Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and presentation media effectively.Ability to stand, sit, walk, and reach with arms and hands.Ability to liftapproximately 25 pounds.Ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, employees, and other individuals.Ability to function effectively with moderate to high levels of stress in a demanding and dynamic environment.Employee must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time and consistently produce organized thoughts and execute sound judgment.Some travel by automobile, airplane, and other modes of public transportation are required.
